Andrew lived in China for 28 years. He left the United States in 1986 to study Chinese Medicine, martial arts and internal cultivation practices. He formally began studying Chinese medicine in 1988 and is the founder of the Association for Traditional Studies (ATS see www.traditionalstudies.org), a not for profit organization dedicated to preserving and disseminating China’s traditional knowledge.
Andrew moved back to the United States in 2014, where he and his wife JulieAnn Nugent-Head founded a teaching clinic in North Carolina. There, interns can see traditional medicine practised across a wide spectrum of patients and diseases to build their clinical skill.
