Endangered Species Certification Scheme launched
24 May, 2008

On 24 May 2008, the Hon Peter Garrett AO MP, Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts, formally launched the Endangered Species Certification Scheme (ESCS).

The ESCS is an innovative program funded by the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA) and administered by the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association Ltd (AACMA).

Representing DEWHA at the launch was Ms Kerry Smith, Assistant Secretary to the Department. Ms Smith awarded the first set of certificates to participants.
